1. Club sandwich
The club sandwich is an American classic, iconic for its three slices of bread instead of two. It got its name from the fact that it was created at the Union Club in New York in 1894.

Ingredients
- 3 slices of sliced bread
- 3 slices of turkey breast
- 3 slices of cooked bacon
- 1 tablespoon of butter to brown the bread
- 2 lettuce leaves
- 1 tomato cut into slices
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon mustard
Preparation method
- In a frying pan, melt the butter and place the slices of bread on top until golden.
- Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on one of them and mustard on the other.
- Place the turkey breast, bacon, lettuce and tomato on the slice with mayonnaise.
- Place the third slice of bread on top of this assembly and press down lightly.
- Add another layer of turkey breast, bacon, lettuce and tomato.

Preparation method
- Cut the bread in half and lightly toast the halves in the oven or in a toaster.

- When the bread is ready, remove it from the oven or toaster and spread the mayonnaise and mustard mixture on both halves.

- Whole Wheat Tortillas
- 1 cup chickpeas
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 clove of garlic
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
How to prepare hummus
- Soak the chickpeas for 5 to 8 hours (you can do this the night before you plan to make the sandwiches).
- After this period, drain the water from the sauce and cook the chickpeas in the pressure cooker.
- Add water to the pan until all the chickpeas are covered and place over high heat.
- Once the pan reaches pressure, lower the heat and let it cook for 15 minutes.
- Then, drain the chickpeas again (if there is any water left after cooking) and let them cool for 10 minutes. After draining, reserve 1 cup of the cooking water to use in making the hummus.
- In a blender, add the grains, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil and garlic cloves.
- Keep beating and adding the cooking water little by little, until the cream has a creamy and smooth texture.
